Note ban again, RBI has said that now Rs 2,000 bank notes (2,000 Rupee Note) have been closed.
RBI will no longer issue new Rs 2,000 notes. However, it will continue to be legal tender money
RBI has advised banks to stop issuing Rs 2 jar notes now. RBI has given this order by writing a letter to the banks.
Under the Clean Note Policy, RBI has decided to withdraw Rs 2000 notes from circulation.
According to RBI, from May 23, 2023, only notes up to a maximum of Rs 20,000 will be exchanged at a time.
If you have 2000 rupees, then you have to go to the bank and get it changed. You can get these notes exchanged by going to the bank.
Now the bank or the ATM of that bank will not give two thousand rupee notes to the common people in ATM or cash withdrawal.
In rural, remote areas where there is no bank, banks can help people to exchange notes with the help of mobile vans if necessary.
The purpose of introducing the Rs 2,000 note was accomplished. Printing of two thousand rupee notes was stopped in the year 2018-19.
